At Coconut Bliss, we’re committed to putting our money where our mouth is. After all, that’s where the ice cream goes.
So today, we’re thrilled to announce our membership in 1% for the Planet, a global organization of businesses giving 1% of their annual sales back to the environment so our planet and future generations can thrive.
If you’re reading this, you probably already know that Bliss is dedicated to organic agriculture as a baseline, sourcing only the best ingredients for you, your taste buds, and the earth.
Our 1% for the Planet partnership takes this commitment a step further, and our contribution goes directly to support The Rodale Institute and their research on Regenerative Organic agriculture, as well as The Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA). ROA aims to certify regenerative organic farms based on soil health and land management in addition to animal welfare and fairness for farmers and supply chain workers. Now that sounds like a resilient food system.
For some background, 1% for the Planet was created in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. To date, 1% for the Planet has directed over $280 million to environmental nonprofits, and membership legitimizes and certifies corporate giving, preventing greenwashing claims.
At Bliss, it’s already in our DNA to give back and do right by the environment and future generations, all while creating the most delicious desserts. And now, we’re doubling down on improving the resiliency of our agricultural system through sustainable sourcing and responsible business practices.
Our support of regenerative organic agriculture, including 1% for the Planet, solidifies this commitment. So go ahead, dig in, and know with every little bite of Bliss, you’re helping our planet too.
